Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the construction of the 10-kilometre Oke-Ose/Ile-Apa/Lajiki road in Ilorin East Local Government Area, giving a vital boost to infrastructure expansion across rural communities in Kwara State.

The Governor announced the key infrastructure approval during an official visit to the Alangua of Lajiki community, Alhaji Solihu Atanda, confirming that physical construction on the corridor will commence within two weeks.

Highlighting the economic necessity of the project, the Governor emphasised that the dual-purpose road network will significantly ease the evacuation of agricultural produce from farming centres to urban markets, eliminate transport bottlenecks for rural dwellers, and catalyse commercial growth across adjoining communities in Ilorin East.

The timely intervention underscores the administration's sustained commitment to expanding rural infrastructure, supporting smallholder agricultural value chains, and driving inclusive economic development across every precinct of Kwara State.
