We'll Turn It Around - Sanni Sends Warning to Kotoko Ahead of Second Leg in Abeokuta
Head coach of Kwara United, Sanni Tunde, has issued a stern warning to Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club ahead of their clash in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, 28 September, in Nigeria.
The Nigerian side fought bravely in their 4-3 defeat to Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, with forward Albert Amoah scoring twice in Kotoko's victory.
Despite Kwara United pulling a third goal back in the 85th minute through Shola Abdulraheem, Kotoko held on to secure the first-leg win.
Speaking at a post-match press conference, Sanni Tunde expressed confidence that his team would overturn the deficit delivering a strong message to the Ghanaian club.
"Our assumption is not what we met. They are a bit luckier today that's it. They are a bit luckier but they are coming to meet us at home" he said.
On the other hand, Kotoko's Albert Amoah was confident of his team's qualification to the next stage stating, "Don't give up, we will qualify".
