Kwara United Land N50m Shirt Deal with BC.GAME Ahead of CAF Campaign

Date: 2025-08-07

Kwara United FC has secured a $35,000 (N50 million) one-season shirt sponsorship with online gaming platform BC.GAME, marking the club's first major sponsorship deal ahead of its CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The Nigeria Premier Football League side announced the partnership Wednesday during its 2025/26 kit unveiling, stating: "We're excited to launch our new jersey with BC.GAME as official sponsor - a landmark deal for our continental journey."

The agreement ends Kwara United's recent sponsorship drought and provides critical funding for the Harmony Boys as they prepare for dual campaigns in the NPFL and Africa's secondary club competition. While the club did not disclose regulatory compliance details, observers note Nigeria's strict guidelines on gambling advertisements under the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC).

Kwara United finished 14th in the league last term with 50 points from 38 matches, but they made amends for their woeful run in the President Federation Cup.

The Harmony Boys beat second-tier side Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties during the final in Lagos.

It was the club's first major title, and the win attracted a reward of N5m and a plot of land at the Kwara Smart City for each player and official of the team from the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Kwara United will find out their group opponents in the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday, when the draw will be held in Tanzania.

The last time Kwara United played at that stage of the continent was in 2022, failing to reach the group stage.
