The Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulkadri Abdulsalam, has confirmed that Max Airline will handle the airlift of pilgrims from Kwara State for the 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The announcement followed a courtesy visit to the airline's management, during which the Board reiterated its commitment to seamless pilgrimage preparations. Alhaji Abdulsalam underscored the need for collaboration among stakeholders and government agencies to ensure hassle-free operations, adding that the visit aimed to familiarise staff with the airline's new management protocols.
Expressing confidence in the Board's track record, he projected a successful pilgrimage. Meanwhile, Board Chairman Prof. Mahmoud Jimba raised urgent issues, including expedited processing of airport permits to streamline staff identification during Hajj activities.
Additional concerns discussed included the necessity for reflective jackets for staff and the provision of a dedicated vehicle to transport pilgrims. Prof. Jimba concluded by advocating for enhanced cooperation between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Board to ensure a successful and efficient Hajj experience.
