Philanthropist Distributes N100 Million in Aid to Widows, Farmers, and Schools
Philanthropist Erelu Adebola Phillips has empowered widows, the aged, farmers, and schools with N100 million in Kwara State. The event was held in Isanlu-Isin and included the distribution of farm implements, sewing and grinding machines, food, and cash. Nineteen schools each received N100,000.
Erelu Adebola stated that the gesture was aimed at combating poverty in the community.
She said 25 selected people got N500,000 each, while 50 got N250,000 each for business.
She also said 141 elderly people got N10,000 each with food, adding farmers were given input like sprayers, etc.
She urged beneficiaries to maximise the opportunity and gifts received. She lauded Igbomina rulers, and indigenes for their support. Titles were given to two non indigenes for their help to humanity.
Dr Isaac Amao was conferred Otunba Mayegun, while Chief Olayinka Latinwo got Iya Oba General.
Olusin of Isanlu Isin, Solomon Oloyede, urged the sponsor and title recipients to continue to help humanity.
