IEDPU hails Issa's confirmation as MD, FNPH, Budo-Egba
Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union(IEDPU), the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the good people of Ilorin Emirate has joined other stakeholders and well-wishers in felicitating with a distinguished son of the Emirate and former Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Prof. Baba Awoye Issa, on the well-deserved confirmation of his appointment as the substantive Medical Director/Chief Executive of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, Ilorin.
The Union, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, on behalf of its National President, Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi, said that the IEDPU and the people of Ilorin Emirate were not surprised that Prof. Issa's appointment was confirmed, saying that his efforts and professionalism justified the development.
The Union also congratulated another eminent son of Ilorin, Dr Nurudeen Issa, on his appointment as the Medical Director of National Orthopaedics Hospital, Dallah, Kano State, describing the two appointments as extremely fascinating.
Alhaji Uthman, who recalled his appearance before the Senate Committee on Health prior to the approval of the establishment of the hospital, paid glowing tributes to the former Chairman of the Committee on Health, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, for his excellent legislative and leadership capacities and services, which culminated in the establishment of the hospital and the attendant emergence of Prof. Issa as its Chief Executive.
The IEDPU President added that for as long as the hospital remains and offer expected services, particularly at its location, the people of Ilorin Emirate would always appreciate the foresight and services of the onetime Majority Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
While expressing his conviction that the newly confirmed Medical Director possesses all the qualities required to build the hospital into world class facility, Alhaji Uthman urged Prof. Issa to do everything humanly possible so that the hospital would achieve and maintain the essence of its establishment.
The Union wished Prof. Issa a more peaceful and productive tenure of office.
