Kwara State Governor Declares 6 Months Maternal Leave For Civil Servants
The Kwara State Governor has announced an optional six month maternal leave for female civil servants who wish to practice exclusive breastfeeding for their newborn.
He said the aim of the move was to boost life chances for the younger ones and also strengthen what he referred to as “multifarious initiatives for a better future.”
He said it would also promote maternal health, among other benefits.
