Date: 2021-08-25

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring proper dissemination of information to all parts of the State.

The Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Olaitan Abosede Buraimoh, made this known while on a working visit to the project site of Okuta F.M Station, in Baruten Local Government Area of the State to ascertain the level of work being carried out.

Her words: "The project, which will be the first radio station in Kwara North, is part of this administration's efforts to give the people from the area easy access to official information, bring government activities closer to the grassroots, and combat fake news".

The Commissioner gave an assurance that the facility will be ready for commissioning soon as all necessary measures will be put in place to make things right.

Buraimoh, who also paid homage to the Emir of Okuta Alhaji Idris Sero Abubakar in his palace, described her visit as an affirmation of the Kwara State Government's commitment to and support for the people.

Noting that the project was put in place as part of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's devotion to the welfare of his people, Buraimoh described the gesture by the State Government as a way of giving back to the people the dividend of democracy.
