Kwara Speaker tasks Nigerians on patriotism

Date: 2019-10-01

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Salihu Yakubu-Danladi has congratulated Nigerians as the Country's independence clocks 59.

In a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff, Engineer Danladi says there was the need to thank God over the relative peace and progress Nigeria has attained despite all odds noting that "our diversities and challenges , we pray peace return to the troubled parts of the country."

The legislator, however, charged Nigerians to strengthen their patriotism and believe in the country, saying that the selflessness and sacrifices of the nation's forefathers was borne out of their unequaled patriotism that earned Nigeria independence 59 years ago.

According to him, it is imperative for all and sundry to see themselves as leaders, citizens and relevant stakeholders in realizing the vision of much talked about past heroes.

Engineer Yakubu- Danladi implores Nigerians to continue to pray for the country to realize a greater nation that everyone will be proud of.
