Kwara APC rejects dissolution

Date: 2018-07-29

Press Statement

My attention has been drawn to a communique purportedly issued by the minister of Information and Culture, Alh Laid Mohammed, calling for the dissolution of the Kwara state executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by me.

I want to state as follow:

a- That I remain the authentic chairman of APC in Kwara state.

b- That my executive committee members were duly elected as APC executives in Kwara state for a period of four years.

c- That myself and other members of the Kwara APC executive committee remain members of the party.

d- That only last Wednesday, I attended a meeting of APC States chairmen forum in Abuja.

e- That we were not aware of any APC stakeholders meeting in Oro, as neither myself as the state party chairman nor our Kwara south senatorial district chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Balogun convened or attended the meeting.

f- We therefore urge members of our great party and general public to remain calm and discountenanced the statement credited to Alh Laid Mohammed.

Signed

Hon. Ishola Balogun- Fulani

Chairman,APC,

Kwara state
