Barely eight days after the Ramadan fast, prices of goods in the Markets within Ilorin Metropolis had significantly dropped, City Rove reliably gathered.

Investigations by Our Correspondents recently revealed that the price of goods such as Rice, Beans, Milo, Bournvita, Table Water and Indomie had returned to their normal price prior to the Ramadan fast.

It was gathered that a bag of rice (50kg) which was sold for N9. 000 now goes for N8000 while a dozen of Three Crown Milk which was bought for N1, 100 during the holy month now goes for N1, 050.

Correspondingly, a carton of Visleri Water which was sold for N350 now sold for N320 or N330 while a carton of beverage like VijuMilk had hitherto been sold for N,1 100 now sells for N 1,000. However, food items such as Semovita and Honey Beans stood at their normal price: ditto beverages like bottle sprite, Eva water and can malt. A market  woman, Mrs. Olorunlaiye Christiana at Yoruba road Ilorin who spoke with City Rove, said the price of goods were too costly last year that it maintained status quo.
