She disclosed that "Threshold of Hope Foundation will continue to give hope of better future to the less privilege especially the orphan and children of various forms of abuse."

ROYAL NEWS reports that items donated to the centre include, food stuff, beverages, noodles, pampers, biscuits, detergents, disinfectants, toiletries as well as cash donation among others.

According to her, "My visit to this centre today is in commemoration of my birthday celebration, to identify with the downtrodden and also, to present some relief materials to further cushion their well-being. Let me confirm to you that this is the best birthday that I have ever celebrated and I promise to make it a tradition to always visit this centre time to time especially on specials day like this."

Damilola Yusuf however appealed to the inmates not to lose hope and confidence in God stressing that Threshold of Hope Foundation will continue in its efforts towards ensuring that life is worthwhile for them.

In his remarks, the Officer-In-Charge of the Centre, Mr. Ikupolati Taiye, commended the foundation for the huge donation adding that, "You are one of our major pillars of survival.

Mr. Ikupolati who enumerated the various categories of inmates in the centre as "abandoned children, motherless children, children of lunatics, disputed children as well as loss but found children" appealed to philanthropists to come to the aid of the less privileged children.

He however described the celebrant's kindheartedness as encouraging and inspiring even as he called on men and women of goodwill to emulate Damilola Yusuf and the entire leadership of Threshold of Hope Foundation's laudable contributions to nation-building.
