Kwara Ethnix spends N2m on diesel monthly - Manager

Date: 2017-12-07

The Factory Manager, Kwara Ethnix Design, Alhaji Abdulkadri Alanamu has disclosed that the company expend over N2m on diesel monthly due to epileptic power supply.

In an interview with Pilot Business recently in Ilorin office, the manager said the money expended on diesel procurement has eaten deep into the operational cost of the company.

"The company spends about N82, 000 on diesel daily, and comparatively this amount ranges between N500, 000 to N600, 000 per week," he explained.

He, however, said that despite the increasing operational cost and drop in capacity, the company is not owing its staffers salary arrears.

He debunked the speculation that the Harmony Holdings Limited is fully involved in the day to day running of the company.

Alanamu further explained that the Harmony Holding, which was established by the former administration of Bukola Saraki towards the tail end of Bukola's administration, mainly to reduce the protracted bureaucratic routine in the running of the company.

Government has no business in business, and in order to ensure efficiency in government entities, the Kwara State Government transferred 40 per cent of her stake in Kwara Ethnix to Harmony Holdings Ltd and its core duty is purely advisory.
