A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON says the outcome of the CCT trial of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki did not come as a surprise, knowing that it was a mere political persecution.

Alhaji Baraje said this has renewed the people's confidence in the country's judiciary system, saying that the outcome of the trial based on no case submission by the defendant and fabricated evidences by the witnesses presented by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) was a sign of vindication.

Alhaji Baraje said despite politically motivated trial to cause distractions for the 8th Senate under the leadership of Dr. Bukola Saraki, the Senate had achieved so much in the last two years, especially through effective legislation and passage of bills that are very crucial to the development of the country.

He therefore congratulated the Senate President for his heartwarming victory at the CCT and called for the support of Nigerians to the National Assembly to enable the lawmakers fastrack the development of the country through passage of bills and robust legislation that would have positive impact on the people.

According to him , the outcome of the CCT trail would further energies and strengthen the Senate President to do more for the nation's democracy through robust legislation at all levels of democratic rule adding that the truth shall always prevail no matter how long.

The APC chieftain called for unity among the people of KWARA state irrespective of their political or religious leanings and commended the large heart and mind of forgiveness demonstrated by the Senate President for all those behind the travails he went through throughout the period of his persecution in the last two years.
