Date: 2016-03-04

To nip in the bud all forms of examination malpractice, the authorities of the Kwara State Polytechnic have introduced card reader to authenticate students identity during examinations in the Institution. The Examination Monitoring Committee disclosed this during its examination sensitisation exercise recently.

The card reader is a new technology aimed at identifying duly registered students. According to the chairman of the Monitoring Committee, Mrs. Olubunmi .O. Ajibade, Deputy Rector Academic, who was represented by Dr. (Mrs.) O. F. Awolola, Director Institute of General Studies, the sensitization exercise meant for both supervisors and students was aimed at curtailing any form of inadequacies before, during and after the examinations.

The sensitization was carried out in all the Institutes in the Institution. Awolola explained that the Management decided that sensitization should be carried out in every nook and cranies of the Institution to ensure that first semester examination was successfully completed.

Earlier, the Director of Centre for Continuing Education, Mrs. H.N. Adam told the students to comply with all examination rules so as to have a hitch-free examination.

In his advice to staff and students, the Director of Institute of Finance and Management Studies, Mr. Kawu. A Saliman enjoined both staff and students to ensure that all the examination's guide lines are duly observed; so as to experience the smooth conclusion of the examinations.

He expressed the readiness of his Institute for the examinations. This is the first time card reader is being used during examinations in the premier tertiary Institution in Kwara State.
