Vanguard learnt that three people sustained serious injuries as a result of the confrontation between the two groups.

This development led to panic in areas like Ipata and Zango, the two popular markets for slaughtered cows in the metropolis as shops and other businesses places in the areas were hurriedly closed.

The police confirmed the development saying that order has been restored and urged members of the public to go about their normal and legitimate business.

Meanwhile, during the condolence visit to the family of Alhaji Mustapha Oke-Odo on the death of their son, Governor Ahmed pleaded with Nigerians to embrace peace.
