First Bank Basketball Club, First Deepwater and Dolphins have continued to churn out fantastic results in the second phase of the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League holding in Ilorin, Kwara State.

First Bank and First Deepwater are yet to lose in the league, while Dolphins have only lost a game to First Bank in the first phase in Abuja. So, fans of the game expect a lot of fireworks when both sides meet in Ilorin this term.

Looking forward to a rewarding campaign, First Bank coach, Adewunmi Aderemi, commended the standard of the league and said his team would put in all its best to win the title. He also noted that a lot of talents were coming through, adding that with more championship, they would blossom into top players.

"Playing in more competition gives them the opportunity to showcase their skills, which is good for their development."

He commended Zenith Bank for their support for the league.

To Coach Emmanuel Odah, the number of players the league has thrown up is a sign that Nigerian basketball is heading the right direction.
