Press Release: Kwara APC Holds Ward Congress on Saturday

The Kwara State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced its readiness to kick off congresses that will elect 5,447 officials to direct party affairs with the ward congress on Saturday.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday by its Interim State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party said it has concluded arrangements to conduct its congress at ward, local government and state levels.

As stated earlier, 26 officials would be elected from each of 193 wards of the state, 25 officials from each of the 16 local government areas, while 29 would be elected in the state.

The ward congress will be held on Saturday, April 5, local government congress will be held on April 12, while state congress is fixed for April 23.

The leadership of APC in Kwara State has concluded all arrangements to ensure the conduct of hitch free congresses. We encourage all our members to troupe out en masse and participate in the congresses as the congress is an exercise to advance our collective interests towards the development of Kwara State and Nigeria.
