Kwara To Employ 2,000 Workers

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has approved the appointment 500 civil servants in the first phase of a quarterly employment drive that will see the engagement of 2000 youths by the end of the year.

Governor Ahmed, who announced the initiative in Ilorin Thursday in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muideen Akorede , said the office of the Head of Service has been directed to commence  procedures for employing the first 500 by March this year.

Ahmed said that the 2,000 jobs will be split between the teaching service commission and the mainstream civil service.
