The board of Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin has recalled the technical crew led by Samson Unuanel and players of the team to resume work ahead of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The club in a statement signed by its chairman, Barrister Bamidele Aluko said the board is ready to work with them again after due appraisal of their performance last season in the Globacom Premier League.

The board expressed disappointment over the relegation of the club from the Premier league to the NNL but charged the crew and players to ensure they work hard to regain promotion next season.

Aluko promised that the board would give the team the maximum supports to ensure the darling team of Kwarans is promoted to the nation's elite division next season.

It would be recalled that the Samson Unuanel led technical crew were in contention for the league title before fans attacked an official in the week 29 match involving the team and Warri Wolves in Ilorin in August; the incidence which contributed to their relegation.
