Atunwa donates N500, 000 to fire victims in llorin

The Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Mr Rasak Atunwa, on Friday donated N500, 000 to Alada family members in llorin, following a recent inferno in the family compound.

The speaker made the donation in llorin when he paid a sympathy visit to Alada family in Pakata area of Ilorin, Kwara capital.

Atunwa urged Nigerians to imbibe safety precautions to forestall outbreak of fire in their domains.

While sympathising with the family, the speaker rued the level of damage caused by the fire to the property of family members.

The Spokesman of Alada family, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Sheriff, who conducted the speaker round the affected buildings, thanked Atunwa for his concern and support for the family.

The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that fire gutted Alada compound in llorin in the early hours of Jan. 27, during which property worth millions of naira were destroyed.
