Igbomina group eulogises late Kwara deputy governor

The death of the former deputy governor of Kwara State, Chief Ezekiel Oyeyipo, who recently passed away, has been described as a painful loss to all Kwarans.

This assertion was made by the National President of Igbomina socio-cultural group, Orisun Igbomina, Chief Gbenga Awoyale, in a condolence  message to the people of Igbomina and the deceased's family in Ilorin, describing late Oyeyipo as a God-fearing man.

Awoyale recalled the enviable contributions of the late Oyeyipo to the overall development of the state during his reign as number two citizen of the ‘State of Harmony', adding that his unique attribute of politics without bitterness remained a desirous legacy in the Nigerian political landscape.

Chief Awoyale said that the activities of the late former governor in the struggle for the restoration of grassroots democracy during the military junta ranked among the best in the nation.

The group also commiserates with the Elesie of Esie,  Oba Babalola Muhammed Arepo II and the people of Esie over the incident and enjoined Nigerians to emulate his virtues.
