Governor AbdulRazaq Leads Governors to Welcome President Tinubu in Borno for Flood Relief Visit
On Monday, September 16, 2024, the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, led a delegation of governors to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to Borno State. The President visited the state to commiserate with Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and the people of Borno following the recent devastating floods that caused widespread destruction.
President Tinubu, who was welcomed to the State by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum Chairman and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, told the victims, “I want to assure you that we will support you. We will help you. God bless you.”
The President's entourage includes Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Abubakar Kyari, the Agriculture Minister, and Mele Kyari, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's Group Managing Director.
Recall that the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum, Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq and his colleagues were in Borno State on Thursday, September 12, 2024, to commiserate with Governor Zulum and the people over the flooding. The Kwara governor assured support for the victims and conveyed the message to the federal government for more support.
