Kwara APC welcomes defectors from PDP

Date: 2018-03-25

The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State on Saturday welcomed hundreds of decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party who dumped their party for the APC in the State.

With the most recent defection of PDP leaders and their foot soldiers to the APC, the camp of the PDP in Kwara State has been further depleted. Considering the strength of the defectors, it is clear that the PDP will never recover from this colossal depletion of its camp.

The decampees were led by a former chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Oke-Ero Local Government, Mr Wale Asonibare, politically known as Stone.

Mr Asonibare led hundreds of PDP members in Oke-Ero to join the All Progressives Congress under the leadership of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Unlike the recently stage-managed defection by the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State, the defection which took place today is real, genuine and massive.

The leadership of the APC assured the defectors of equal opportunities and fair play while urging the defectors to immediately team up with party members at the grassroots level.
