PRESS STATEMENT: We, the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF), stand on behalf of the teeming progressive youths of the State of harmony to express our profound gratitude to HE Ag. President Yemi Osinbajo for finding it worthy to appoint our own symbol of youthful inspiration, Barr. Ismail Ahmed to play a very significant role in the government of President Mohammadu Buhari as the Senior Special Assistant on Social Investment Programmes.

Our appreciation is heightened by the fact that His Excellency, the Ag. President, has by this singular gesture brought an end to a long period of doubt and pessimism by the teeming progressive youths nationwide who have waited with bated breath to see Barr. Ismail Ahmed advance his leadership skill into the realm of public governance. For a man who has led us with absolute competence over the years, we know that the nation is at a glaring disadvantage when competent and result-oriented young people like our amiable national chairman are denied the chance to serve. We are therefore very happy with this appointment and commend Mr. Ag. President for his foresight.

As we thank HE, the Ag President, we will also like to warmly congratulate our chairman, Barr. Ismail Ahmed for his new designation. We are very much confident that with his versatile mind, proven leadership ability and his well known empathy for the less privileged, Barr. Ismail will bring his trademark ingenuity and obvious experience to bear in serving the good people of Nigeria, especially the less privileged who are the main beneficiaries of the many social protection programmes of the present government that our chairman would now coordinate.

We are therefore making a passionate appeal to all the teeming progressive youths of Kwara and indeed Nigeria to support our chairman with prayers in order to effectively discharge his new assignment.

Once again, we are most grateful to his Excellency, Ag. President Yemi Osinbajo for the recognition bestowed on Barr. Ismail Ahmed, the shining light and inspiration of our own generation.
