Communications Minister hails 'The Unilorin Spirit'
The Minister of Communications, Hon. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, has commended the University of Ilorin for remaining the most stable University in the country and for the spirit of excellence that has transformed the University to a distinguished centre of excellence in the country.
Hon. Shittu stated this last Thursday (May 12, 2015), when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), in his office. The Minister was in the University to deliver a Keynote address at a Seminar organised by the Nigeria Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS) in honour of the Executive Secretary of MUSWEN, Prof. Dawud O. S. Noibi.
The Minister, who was excited at the transformation that is taking place in the University, pointed out that the institution must have been a beneficiary of the prayers of sundry clergymen. He commended the University management for the stable academic calendar that guarantees that students graduate as at when due, Hon. Shittu said, "My visit to Unilorin today, is, undoubtedly, a homecoming, having been attached to this place over the last 30 years or so.
