The statement added that there is urgent need for labour unions and the leadership state ?and local governments to endeavour to reach an equilibrium to fast track policies that will further ensure growth and development in the state. It said: ?"The striking workers who are aggrieved over non-payment of salaries are not only our members but they are also major stakeholders in the Kwara Project which is fast becoming a brand in the national politics.

"Not only that, they have put in their best in ensuring ?a better Kwara State through their respective wealth of experience and therefore, they deserved to be paid and promoted as and when due and must also be paid their pensions in the case of retired personnel."

The group therefore ?commended the painstaking efforts of the civil servants in the state for the perseverance and steadfastness in the face of the financial crisis confronting the state.
