Kwara APC Backs Buhari Anti-corruption War

Date: 2015-08-17

The All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kwara State has expressed its support for the anti-corruption crusade of President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is even as the party described the relationship between Buhari and the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki as very cordial.

The APC chairman in the state, Hon. Ishola Balogun- Fulani made these assertions during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin yesterday.

He declared the state's APC "is in support of the ongoing investigation of corrupt Nigerians in the country and other corrupt agencies."

He urged Nigerians to support President Buhari in the fight against corruption.

The APC chairman described as untrue rumour that Saraki was interfering with the day to day running of the administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state.

He asserted that Governor Ahmed was not only in control of the governance of the State but has the full support of the party leadership as there is proper synergy between the executive, legislative and the party in the state.

He appealed to Kwarans, particularly, civil servants to be patient with the present administration, assuring that very soon a new cabinet would be put in place and enjoined the new leadership in the State House of Assembly to join hand with the government in improving the living condition of Kwaran.
