Why Tony Tetuila stayed away from Kwara State APC primary elections
Party insiders informed us that Tetuila, who declared his intention to vie for a seat in the state House of Assembly, and was warming up for the primaries, was earlier warned by stakeholders and party elders in his constituency to bury his ambition for now and step down for a more grounded politician so that the party would not lose the election proper.
Their understanding was that Tony is still a greenhorn in the political terrain and as such, was not ripe enough for the position he was gunning for. He was therefore advised, for his own political and personal interest to forget the position, at least for now, while he should support the party's choice and wait for his turn.
So it was no surprise that he was no where near the venue of the election yesterday.
