The All Progressives Congress APC in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State yesterday organized a special prayer for the leadership of APC in the state and peace and stability of the country, as an Ilorin based preacher, Sheikh Abu Sheriff extolled the virtue of Senator Bukola Saraki for his role at ensuring the reconstruction of Ilorin Central Mosque.

The prayer session was led by the Chief Imam of Fate, Central Mosque, Alhaji Yahaya Fate.

Sheikh Abu Sheriff said Senator Saraki has written his name in gold with his efforts in reconstructing Ilorin Central Mosque.

He said Saraki loves the state and he has demonstrated it through his contribution to the central mosque in Ilorin.

Quoting from the Quran, he said Saraki is loved by God irrespective of what people think.

He said "we are not following party but personality and politics is more than just condemning all actions of government".

The cleric challenged the masses to always engage the government in constructive criticism, noting that human being is the most difficult to control if not for the mercy of God.

He blamed the problem of Boko Haram on President Goodluck Jonathan. He said "Jonathan is the cause of Boko Haram and if he goes,the problem will be a thing of the past".

Sheikh Abu Sheriff admonished the people to be truthful with their leaders and always pray for peace and stability.

The APC Chairman, Alhaji Adams Muhammed said the prayer was organized in honour of Senator Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and other leadership of the party.

He said the party believes in the efficacy of prayer, that was why its organized the prayer for the success of the party in the next general elections. Muhammed called on party supporters and members to remain loyal to the party and always demonstrate love and unity among themselves.

The council Chairman, Alhaji Usman Ebedi who prayed for Allah's protection for Senator Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, said APC has fully prepared for the next general elections and members of the party remain loyal to the course of the party.
