Emir of Ilorin Sympathizes with Shehu of Borno Over Palace Flood

According to a report by Voice of Nigeria, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has sympathized with the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Umar Garbai Ibn El-Kanemi, over the incident of flood which submerged his palace in the early hours of Tuesday.

This is contained in a message issued by the Emir's spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, who described the situation as unfortunate and regrettable prayed to Allah to cease the reoccurrence of such incident.

The monarch also extended his sympathy to Governor Babagana Zulum and the good people of Borno State especially residents of Maiduguri over the disaster.

He, therefore, advised governments at all levels to endeavour to work along with the predictions and forecasts of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) to provide proactive measures that could avert such a situation.
