Kwara Government Procures 30 Transformers to Enhance Power Supply and Economic Growth
The Kwara State Government has procured 30 new transformers as part of its ongoing efforts to improve electricity supply, stimulate economic growth, and enhance social amenities across the state.
The Commissioner for Energy, Engr. Kola AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, disclosed the development today at the Ministry's premises in Ilorin, where he received the second batch of the transformers.
He emphasized that reliable access to electricity is vital for boosting security, supporting businesses, and improving the quality of life for residents.
Engr. AbdulGaniy reaffirmed the administration's commitment to prioritising the welfare of citizens through critical infrastructure development, stating that the transformers will be strategically deployed to underserved communities to ensure equitable power distribution.
The initiative underscores the government's focus on creating an enabling environment for sustainable development and improved public service delivery.
He further disclosed that the first batch of 16 transformers was received on 15th August, 2025, while the remaining 14 transformers arrived at the early hours of today, as the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, remains committed to the welfare and security of the people.
