The board of Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin has reacalled the technical crew led by Samson Unuanel and players of the team to resume work ahead of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The club in a statement signed by its chairman, Barr. Bamidele Aluko said the board is ready to work with them again after due appraisal of their performance last season in the Globacom Premier League.

The board expressed disappointment over the relegation of the club from the Premier league to the NNl but charged the Samson Unuanel led crew and players to ensure they work hard to regain promotion next season.

Aluko promised that the board will give the team the maximum supports to ensure the darling team of Kwarans is promoted to the nation’s elite division next season.

It would be recalled that the Samsonj Unuanel led technical crew were in contention for the league title before fans attacked an official in the week 29 match involving the team and Warri Wolves in Ilorin in August.

The Afonja Warriors lost 3 points3 goals to Warri Wolves after the Delta team appealed an earlier decision of the League Management Company (LMC) that the be replayed in Ilorin.
