Ilorin – There is palpable tension in Kwara State over the list of the new cabinet members being awaited even as politicians now patronise spiritualists to ensure that their preferred candidates in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) get appointed as commissioners in the new administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.

Vanguard investigations revealed that politicians who had contributed to the emergence of the new administration have been visiting marabouts to ensure that they sail through in the screening of would-be members of the state cabinet.

Also, high profile pastors and alfas are being consulted for spiritual assistance, even as desperate politicians sponsored alfas to Saudi Arabia for special prayers to get their ambition realised.

It was further revealed that herbalists were not excluded as some politicians were reportedly seen by their colleagues carrying fetish objects, mostly in the night to the juju men to help them prepare charms that would help them them realise their ambitions.

Those being lobbied include the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed who will mainly determine those to be appointed.

Meantime, the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the State government and Chief Press Secretary to the government have been appointed following the dissolution of the cabinet last week by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed
