Date: 2016-11-28

The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has congratulated the governorship candidate of its party in Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, on his victory at the governorship election of Ondo State.

In a statement issued by its State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, in Ilorin on Sunday, the party describes the victory of Mr Akeredolu as resounding victory for all members of APC in Nigeria.

"With the victory of Mr Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, it is clear that the wind of change is still blowing across the country. "We are most delighted to welcome members of our party in Ondo State from a party in opposition to a party in government.

Evidently, the road has been rough and the transition is not one that can be described as easy. "We will like to encourage them to settle down so that they can face the huge task of governance immediately the governor-elect is sworn-in by February 24, 2017.

"Furthermore, we are convinced that the sensible decision of the people of Ondo State to embrace change will begin to manifest in all sectors of governance immediately the APC-led Ondo State government is inaugurated by February 24, 2017. Congratulations.
