Unilorin don, 4 others win 2015 TWAS Research Grants

A Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, University of Ilorin, Dr. O. M. Kolawole, has, along with four other lecturers from other universities, won the The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) 2015 Research Grants worth $63, 000.

The other members of the Research Team are: Dr. E. I. Unuabonah of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Redeemers University, Mowe, Ogun State; Dr. F. O. Agunbiade of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Redeemers University, Mowe, Ogun State; Dr. M. O. Omorogie of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Redeemers University, Mowe, Ogun State; and Dr. C. P. Okoli of the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Western Delta University, Delta State.

The title of the research project is “Novel Nanoporous Composite Absorbents with Bifunctional Properties: Toxic Anion and Bacterial Removal from Water”.

The grant is given for a period of up to 18 months.
