Saraki's Associate, Ogunsola, Dies at 90

A former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Prof. Albert Ogunsola, died on Sunday.
 
A statement by the eldest son of the deceased, who is a also Federal Commissioner in the Federal Character Commission, Dr. Femi Ogunsola, in IIorin on Sunday, said his father was 90.
 
Until his death, he was a staunch member of PDP and a close associate of late Dr. Olusola Saraki.
 
Meanwhile, Gov. AbdulFatah Ahmed of Kwara on Sunday expressed "shock'' at at the demise of the politician.
 
Ahmed, in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji AbdulWahab Oba, said the death of Ogunsola marked "the eclipse of another shining light in the political armament of the late Dr. Olusola Saraki's political family.
 
"Even in mourning the politician, it was noteworthy that the deceased did not die unsung, unknown and without an imprint in the sand of time," the statement said.
 
The governor prayed God to grant Ogunsola an eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
