We are ready for LG polls - PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, have commended the Kwara state Independent Electoral Commission for the guidelines, adding that it is ready for the forth coming election.

The position of the party was communicated to the party by the state secretary, Hon (prince) Afolayan in an interview with The Herald in his Office yesterday.

Afolayan stated that the conduct of the local government elections in the past had been devoid of rancor except in rare cases, stressing that the PDP has confidence in the commission and it is committed towards, participating in a free and fair election.

He also stated that the party is well rooted in all the local government areas and is competent and popular to win all the 16 local government areas.

In the same vein, the state Director of Publicity of the party, Alhaji Masu’d Adebimpe  has revealed that the number of candidates jostling for various positions is an indication of the popularity of the party at the grassroots.

He further charged the party members to remain resolute and committed to the party in the pursuit to win all the local government areas in the forthcoming elections.
