He urged politicians and every Nigerian to examine themselves and find something good to do for the Nation. Commenting on the seventy-thirty percent ratio of admission policy favouring science subjects in polytechnics, Doctor Abdulkareem noted that poor foundation and won availability of science materials were responsible for student’s attitudes to science subjects.
Dr. Y.A. Abdulkareem who was a former Rector of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin urged the government to introduce serious science subjects in addition to providing equipped laboratories. The Civil Engineer commended the Federal Government on the impending overhauling of the Railway system.
The University Don urged Nigerians to look forward to a very bright future for the country, saying that it has enough resources and the capacity to make it happen. Callers on the programme charged the Federal Government to provide infrastructure for the improvement of science subjects in Schools.
