Two vehicles burn as fire engulfs petrol station in Kwara
Two vehicles, a truck and a bus, were reportedly destroyed in a fire incident that ravaged Aasco Petrol Station, beside the Nigeria Airforce office, along Ajase-Ipo road, Ilorin, on Saturday evening.
The inferno, which destroyed part of the station, was said to have been caused by a spark from a Toyota Dyna truck parked at the premises.It took the timely intervention of the state fire service to put out the fire and reduce damage to the filling station.
Speaking on the incident, head of media and publicity at the state fire service, Hassan Adekunle, said firemen deployed their expertise to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the station.
