Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the state chairman of the Road Transport Employers' Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Alhaji AbdulRahman Olayinka Onikijipa, on his re-election for another term.
In a statement on Friday morning, the Governor said the re-election of the RTEAN chief is a vote of confidence in his remarkable performance in office, including his support for government's efforts to promote peace and orderliness in the transport sector.
"Public reviews of Alhaji Onikijipa's leadership of the union suggest that he is a great manager of men and resources. He has brought a new vision to the union, such that encourages more young people to invest in the sector. With his vast experience and goodwill within and outside of the system, he is reputed to have contributed to the growth and development of the entire national transportation industry.
"We pray Allah to grant Alhaji Onikijipa good health and a more successful second term, while urging him to continue to mobilise his members for peace within and outside of the transport union for greater efficiency and accomplishments."
