A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON says the outcome of the CCT trial of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki did not come as a surprise, knowing that it was a mere political persecution.

Alhaji Baraje said this has renewed the people's confidence in the country's judiciary system, saying that the outcome of the trial based on no case submission by the defendant and fabricated evidences by the witnesses presented by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) was a sign of vindication.

According to him , the outcome of the CCT trail would further energies and strengthen the Senate President to do more for the nation's democracy through robust legislation at all levels of democratic rule adding that the truth shall always prevail no matter how long.

The APC chieftain called for unity among the people of KWARA state irrespective of their political or religious leanings and commended the large heart and mind of forgiveness demonstrated by the Senate President for all those behind the travails he went through throughout the period of his persecution in the last two years.
