The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its readiness to partner with any genuine investor to boost the healthcare in the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Suleiman Atolagbe stated this in Ilorin while receiving the team of Health Response and Development Initiatives from Hong Kong,who paid him an advocacy visit in his office.

Alhaji Alege reassured the medical team that the state government under the leadership of Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed placed top priority on the general well being of Kwarans through adequate provision of health care facilities in the state.

He added that the community health insurance scheme which was put in place to cater for the people recently received an expansion to cut across the sixteen local government areas of the state .

The commissioner noted that the project had just been internationally acclaimed as it had been nominated by Pharm Access Foundation, Netherlands for the 2016 financial times Transformational Business Award.

He explained further that the state was ready to give necessary support to any would be investor that has direct impacts on the lives of Kwarans. Earlier, the team leader Mr Jerry Lam said they were in the state to sell the idea of new Molecular Testing Technology in the prevention and management of sexually transmitted diseases in Nigeria.

He said molecular biology plays key role in the early detection, treatment and management of various acute and chronic diseases. He also disclosed that the team will organize a workshop for over 100 Doctors across the state tomorrow (Saturday).
