Kwara Governor promises more investments and job opportunities

The Kwara Stete Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed says his government will continue to attract investment to the state, create employment opportunities and economic growth. Governor Ahmed made the pledge on Tuesday in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of the state, when he paid homage to the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Kawu Haliru in his palace.

The Governor who identified the state as a major producer of sugar cane said the establishment Lafiagi Sugar Company by BUA Group and the proposed Dangote Sugar Company in Patigi would assist Nigeria in meeting her sugar need.

Governor Ahmed thanked the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Kawu Haliru for his support to the Sugar Company which he said would encourage more investors to the axis. In his response, the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Kawu Haliru thanked the state government for creating conducive environment for business activities to thrive.

Alhaji Haliru expressed the hope that the establishment of the Sugar Company would re-awaken the economy of Lafiagi and assured of his support to would-be investors in his domain.
