Gov. Ahmed directs immediate reconstruction of offices

Governor Ahmed admitted that due to the deplorable level of infrastructure in the commission, "urgent attention was necessary for enhanced productivity

The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has directed the immediate reconstruction of the State Teaching Service Commission Main Office in Ilorin, the state capital, to provide conducive environment for staff and enhance productivity.

Governor Ahmed admitted that due to the deplorable level of infrastructure in the commission, "urgent attention was necessary for enhanced productivity.

"The first hand information gathered from this inspection will enable us to reassess the deplorable level of infrastructure challenges and what was required to be done".

He directed the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development to include the Annex of the Teaching Service Commission Office in the rehabilitation exercise.

Governor Ahmed promised that his government would continue to put in place needed structure that would make working environment conducive for the civil servants. Speaking with journalists after the inspection, Governor Ahmed said the essence of the visit was part of the efforts to make civil servants working environment more conducive, as well as their welfare.

Governor Ahmed was conducted round the office by the State Head of Service, Hajia Zarah Omar, and accompanied by some members of the State Executive Council.
