The Kwara State Government is to overhaul 120 secondary schools across the state by building 1274 new classrooms and rehabilitating 2000 existing ones.

The State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed disclosed this in Ilorin after he was sworn-in for a second term at the Metropolitan Square, Asa Dam area.

He noted that his administration would open new campuses for the Kwara State University, in Ilesha-Baruba with the establishment of the College of Agricultural Science and another one in Osi to accommodate the new College of Architectural and Environmental Studies.

On Youth empowerment, Governor Ahmed pledged that the International Vocational Center, Ajase-Ipo would be fully equipped and operational this year in line with government's determination to provide youths with critical vocational skills for entrepreneurship.

Governor Ahmed added that his administration would expand its health system with the establishment of two primary health care centers, four comprehensive health centers and remodeling of another five general hospitals across the three senatorial districts to ensure affordable and accessible health care delivery in the state.
