11 dead, 8 injured in Ilorin autocrash
Tragedy struck, Wednesday, in Kwara State as 11 people lost their lives in an auto crash involving a Toyota Hiace bus, which collided with a Turbo branded truck along Ilorin/Mokwa Road, Ilorin at about 2a.m.
Eight others were seriously injured in the accident.
The victims were trapped inside the bus with number plates GA 52 XA, while the truck was marked XA 939 GZA.
Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, in Kwara State, Mary Wakama, who confirmed the accident, blamed night travelling and excessive speed for the tragedy, describing it as avoidable.
