Kwara Utd brace-up for Heartland…beef up squad
Kwara United is aiming for a possible takeover of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) log top spot as they host the Naze Millionaires at the Kwara State Stadium today in a week four league clash.
The Harmony Boys after week three games placed fifth on five points, two behind leaders FC Taraba and are now favoured to go on top as the other four teams above will play on the roa0d today.
To ensure more positive results in the league campaign, the Ilorin side how have been in camp in Ogun State after the elections will add quality to their squad with three new players.
Media Officer of the club, Yinkan Owolewa who disclosed the addition of the players to The Herald on Sunday League Update said the team is set to clinch the maximum points against Heartland in this crunch encounter.
Owolewa said the teams have trained hard for this game and the players are in good shape for the game.
The new players include Soga Sambo who played for club last season. Heartland, El-Kanemi and Gabros United are all on six points ahead of Kwara United, should they loose on the road and Kwara United win, the Ilorin side will take the top spot.
Kwara United are one of the few sides who are yet to lose a game and winning their second home game today will be utmost.
