Ex-CPC chieftain joins APC

Son of Alhaji AGF AbdulRazaq, a prominent opposition figure in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrauf Baba- Abdulrazaq, on Friday formally declared his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Baba- Abdulrazaq announced this at the APC's secretariat in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.

He contested for the House of Representatives elections in 2007 and served as the Director- General of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) gubernatorial campaign in Kwara state in 2011.

Baba- Abdulrazaq said he defected to the APC because of his belief in the wind of change that is currently blowing.

Daily Trust reports that the state APC had been receiving members in droves since the beginning of the week.

Among the defectors were Senator Gbemisola Saraki and all her loyalists including the PDP Secretary, Barr. Razaq Hassan, Youth Leader, Segun Olawoyin, Women Leader, Hajia Nimota Ibrahim, among others.
