There was a mild drama on Saturday at Omoda area, in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State as supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) symbolically swept clean the footprint of a serving minister, almost immediately after he left the Agbaji compound's INEC registration point, where he collected his Permanent Voter's Card.

The minister, who arrived the area around 2pm in company of several PDP supporters collected his Permanent Voters Card at exactly 2:05pm and headed straight to his ancestral home, a stone throw from the Agbaji family house of the Sarakis.

But hardly had he left the unit than some APC members troupe to the street en-masses and swept clean his footprint.

The APC supporters, mostly women, were wielding brooms, the symbol of the nation's main opposition and dancing to the tune of drums from local musicians. Their attempt to move into the street leading to the family house of the minister was resisted by security operatives.
